Brewed to celebrate Rebellion Brewery ‘s 25-year anniversary of brewing in Marlow.
25 is an extra pale ale brewed with Sterling hops, citrus peel and Belgian ale yeast. Sterling hops, not only have an entirely appropriate name for silver anniversary beer but also have a beautiful lemon and spicy character which work in harmony with the other elements of the ale. The inclusion of lemon and orange peel adds a subtle citrus aroma and the Belgian ale yeast contributes a spicy note and gives this beer a real Belgian ale character.

This Pale Ale takes its name from the castle built by King John in 1207, which is located less than a mile from the original Brewery, and from where he rode out to Runnymede to sign the Magna Carta. Known for featuring on Grand Designs, endorsement from Raymond Blanc and the feather on the bottle , it was about time that The Regulars tried some beer from Two Cocks Brewery.
Diamond Lil is a 3.2% ABV light and fruity golden ale was developed especially for the Diamond Jubilee.
Puritan Stout has a stark black and white appearance conceals luxurious notes of caramel and chocolate and at 4.5% this is anything but austere.
Viscount Golden Ale features the lightest of malts combined with Nelson Sauvin hops and a piggyback fermentation to deliver an ale with low bitterness and a complex fruit character.
Musket Bitter is an English style bitter. Not much else to add.
As per The Harper Arms rules, there is no rating for these as we only had one bottle of each.

Based on a classic IPA recipe which uses Imperial Malt along with Chinook, Simcoe and Pacific Jade hops. After a week in South Africa where the only beer available was lager, Dave was forced to drink Gin & Tonic and Red Wine until he came across this locally brewed Pale Ale.
A copper-to-red coloured English ale. The late addition of imported Goldings hops gives this ale an aromatic floral hop character that is combined with mild fruitiness. This premium ale has a lingering spicy hop character on the back of the tongue, balanced by the malty fullness on the front of the palate.
Crafted to produce an authentic re-creation of an IPA. With its pale appearance, strong hoppy taste and higher alcoholic strength it comprises all the genuine characteristics of a true India Pale Ale, which were necessary to survive the three month long journey from Burton to Bombay – 5.7% abv.

Our friends at Wild Weather Ales have finally got their canning operation up and running with excellent results. The cans are all works of art in themselves, and they have even improved some of their most popular beers in preparation for the canning run.
One new one that they brought to my attention was this cracker of a beer, Storm In A Teacup, an Earl Grey IPA. At 6% avb the trendy craft beer sized can still packs a punch.
The whole brew went into the cans but hopefully we will get a draft sample to try so that we can rate it 🙂

Eton Boatman (4.3% ABV) is a golden ale and was released as the perfect beer for cheering on the Olympic rowing at Eton Dorney, less than a mile away from the Windosr & Eaton brewery.

Beavertown’s Session IPA Neck Oil pack a huge amount of flavour into a light, refreshing beer. It is crammed full of hops that are added a different times during the brew to bring out their individual flavours while reducing the bitterness. It starts out very dry to taste that is then quickly overtaken by the floral fruity notes of the hops before a dry, hoppy full-flavoured finish that makes a mockery of its low abv.
