Windsor & Eton – Eton Boatman

Eaton Boatman

Eton Boatman (4.3% ABV) is a golden ale and was released as the perfect beer for cheering on the Olympic rowing at Eton Dorney, less than a mile away from the Windosr & Eaton brewery.

Eton Boatman has a fresh, clean and full flavoured taste. It is made with a combination of American Citra hops producing citrus flavours and Australian Galaxy hops giving hints of exotic fruit. A perfect beer for those summer months

Harper Arms Rating (5=Tribute, 1=Carling): (3.8 / 5)

  1. It was a special occasion at The Harper Arms with live coverage of the Wales vs Portugal Euro semi-final.

A pity Wales couldn’t get through to the final but a superb tournament for them (thanks to the Reading FC players of course) that made up for the woeful England display.

Still the night wasn’t completely ruined as we were able to drown our sorrows with Eton Boatman.

  2. This beer is like sleeping with a ugly person, ultimately you’re more than happy with the result but the whole affair seems just everso slightly lacking.
It’s a good beer that if I see on tap I will have again, much unlike the ugly, and very very hypothetical, booty call (guess who’s just realised their wife reads this) but I wouldn’t seek it out to buy for home.
Looking forward to the next from Windsor and Eton, beer that is not ugly liaison
(not that there will be any dear)…

  3. A surprising stab at a modern twist on English beer. Would be pleased to see it on the taps at the bar and if it was the only one on offer then I’d happily drink it all night.
