  1. This beer is as traditional as Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding. Very drinkable and yet just a bit boring. It’s as though they forgot the horse radish. Is it the fault of the beer or maybe The Regulars are getting used to the exciting beers coming from the newer brewers that feature American Hops. Just like Roast Beef has been replaced by Chicken Tikka Masala as the countries favorite dish.

  2. John MajorThis beer is John Major. Grey faced, dreaming of peas and dull like the Spitting Image character of old (politics, can’t escape it at the moment). It’s not unpleasant but then it’s not particularly pleasant either, just bland, in fact its the exact polar opposite of the 5am Saint we reviewed a few weeks ago.
If , for lunch today, a plain cheese sandwich (sans pickle) makes you drool then this will wash that down a treat.

  3. This is the sort of beer you could drink while doing the crossword in the paper in the pub – would be perfectly fine but if asked what you’d just drunk you’d have no idea: “beer, of some sort”.

Passes the time, sates your thirst, quite pleasant, utterly forgettable.
