Unlike Dave, I actually prefer my beers to be in the 4% range so I was quite happy when Wychwood dropped Hobgoblin from the original 5.2%. Hobgoblin is a beer that everyone should try at least once. Aimed at lager drinkers, Hobgoblin is full of character without too much complexity for those used to the amber nectar. Any beer drinker will be perfectly happy drinking Hobgoblin and most would instantly recognise it in a glass.

Wychwood makes celebration editions of Hobgoblin that have hints of other flavours, which are always worth enjoying at the festivals during which they appear.
