The English heritage is not lost to the new world hops unlike in some trendy (but crap) beers around today. This Beer will be most welcome on a summer’s day.

This is a quality golden ale that is highly drinkable. Great for the summer but nice all year round. Sure it lacks the kick in the gut you get from its big brother but it makes up for it with a subtle flavour. Maybe it does make sense to use hops from 3 different countries!

So it was unexpected to find I preferred this, maybe I’m gayer than a row of pink tents (yes I know that’s not the saying) but I prefer to think not and that Hobgoblin Gold just works.
