SPECIAL EVENT – Lagerfest
5.5 billion pints of lager were drunk in the UK in 2015. Surely it can’t all be terrible.
In order to check that The Regulars are not missing something, The Harper Arms will be holding its very own Lagerfest.
Naturally it will be ice cold, fizzy and tasteless. Probably not “perfect for a summers day” but who knows!
Hogs Back – TEA
A Classic Best Bitter
An enticing amber colour with a hoppy and slightly fruity aroma. Using the finest English malt carefully balanced with local Fuggles hops, it is gently fermented to leave some of the natural malt sugars, to give a full and satisfying flavour with a long, dry finish.

Morland – Old Golden Hen
Morland’s Greene King’s “Old Golden Hen” captures a celestial ray of sunshine in the form of a rare and very special Tasmanian hop called Galaxy

This is the stuff of Cheshire legend (The Wizard of Alderley Edge), combined with 5 English hops, pale, wheat and magical crystal malts.
The result is Wizard, a mythical amber ale with a spell-binding fruity, zesty palate…and a tantalising hint of blackcurrant.

Wild Weather Ales – Keyboard Warrior
Simcoe Single Hop English Brown Ale – 3.9%
Who says an English brown ale should be dull? Keyboard Warrior takes a traditional base and then rocks it’s world with a whole heap of Simcoe creating massive grapefruit, pine and lime notes finishing with a hint of orange zest.
Very appropriate name for The Regulars.
Harper Arms Rating (5=Tribute, 1=Carling): (4 / 5)
Beavertown – Neck Oil Session IPA
Beavertown’s Session IPA Neck Oil pack a huge amount of flavour into a light, refreshing beer. It is crammed full of hops that are added a different times during the brew to bring out their individual flavours while reducing the bitterness. It starts out very dry to taste that is then quickly overtaken by the floral fruity notes of the hops before a dry, hoppy full-flavoured finish that makes a mockery of its low abv.
Harper Arms Rating (5=Tribute, 1=Carling): (4.5 / 5)

Wild Weather Ales – Choppy Waters
No marketing babble has yet been published by Wild Weather Ales – or as far as I can find. So I’ll make some up.
Citrus hops, fairy dust and water from the moon make Choppy Waters a truly out of this world beer. Made from an ancient recipe that can be traced back to the Cavemen this beer will make you more attractive to women, make you stronger and faster than you’ve ever experienced and give a rapier wit to rival Comedy Club headliners the world over.

Rebellion – Waterloo
Waterloo is a chestnut ale with a crisp hoppy finish. The aroma hop, Hallertau Blanc, was only released in 2012. It has a bold and fresh profile and will contribute gooseberry, lemongrass and passionfruit character similar to a glass of its namesake Sauvignon blanc.
